ACT - DATE CHANGE
10th - 12th - LETTER TO PARENTS
Dear Parents,
We want to communicate with you all about an unexpected change to our ACT testing schedule. Over the past several weeks, Mrs. Becky and I have worked diligently to ensure everything was in place for a smooth testing process. We were in frequent communication with ACT representatives to confirm all procedures, materials, and timelines.
When our testing materials arrived, we noticed the booklets were labeled with an April 7th test date. We immediately contacted ACT and were assured—multiple times—that we had correct testing materials and to submit completed materials by April 17th. Based on that guidance, we proceeded accordingly.
However, TODAY at 10:30 a.m., we were notified that the information we had been given was incorrect. They shared that the materials sent to us could only be used on April 7th.
ACT upper management has acknowledged the error on their end and is expediting a new set of testing materials at no cost to our school. As a result, our students will now take the ACT on: Tuesday, April 21st.
We love our precious students more than words can express and our goal has always been to ensure the best possible experience for our students. While this change is certainly frustrating, please know that we did everything possible to verify details and follow the guidance provided to us.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work through this situation. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
In His Service,
Monica Daniels

Cornerstone Christian Academy Medication Policy Update
Cornerstone Christian Academy will no longer distribute over-the-counter (OTC) medications to students in compliance with Ark. Code § 17-87-705. If your child has a medical need that may require OTC medication during the school day (for example, migraines or recurring headaches), you must provide:
A signed doctor’s note specifying the medical concern and recommended medication.
The medication in its original container, clearly labeled with your child’s name, to be kept in the main office.
Without a doctor’s note and properly supplied medication on file, CCA staff will not administer OTC medication. If a student requests medication under those circumstances, a parent or guardian will be contacted and must bring the needed medication directly to the school.
This policy is designed to protect the health and safety of all students and to ensure compliance with best practices in medication administration. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we partner together in the care of your children.
per student handbook 2025-2026 pgs. 7&8
ABSENTEE POLICY: In case of an absence, a dated parent/doctor note EXPLAINING THE REASON FOR THE ABSENCE should be taken to the main office. The note must be sent within 3 days a student returns from an absence. Students will not be allowed to receive credit for homework, quizzes, or tests until an excuse from a parent, guardian or doctor has been sent and approved as an excused absence. Students with excused absences will have 1 class day to make up their work for each class day they are absent.
