MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Cornerstone Christian Academy Medication Policy Update

Cornerstone Christian Academy will no longer distribute over-the-counter (OTC) medications to students in compliance with Ark. Code § 17-87-705. If your child has a medical need that may require OTC medication during the school day (for example, migraines or recurring headaches), you must provide:

  1. A signed doctor’s note specifying the medical concern and recommended medication.

  1. The medication in its original container, clearly labeled with your child’s name, to be kept in the main office.

Without a doctor’s note and properly supplied medication on file, CCA staff will not administer OTC medication. If a student requests medication under those circumstances, a parent or guardian will be contacted and must bring the needed medication directly to the school.

This policy is designed to protect the health and safety of all students and to ensure compliance with best practices in medication administration. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we partner together in the care of your children.
