Middle-High School Teachers

Mrs. Becky Gray~

She has been a teacher for 16 years and God brought her here to CCA 8 years ago. She has worked both in elementary and middle/high school. She currently teaches Bible, 6th grade reading, keyboarding, 11th-12th grade Agri. Science, 7th grade art, and is active on the quiz bowl team, archery, debate team, and robotics. She is thankful that CCA focuses on Jesus and that she is able to teach about Him. If there was only one thing she could tell you, it is that Jesus loves YOU enough to die for you. She has a crazy, busy family. Mrs. Becky and her husband, Cory, have one son plus 1 dog and 1 cat. Laughter is never a shortage at their home. They also love to do mission work- both local and foreign.

Mrs. Carolyn Donaldson~

Meet Mrs. Carolyn Donaldson. She has been teaching for 43 1/2 years, sharing 8 of those with us at CCA. She teaches high school History. She came out of retirement to help us fill a need, but she continues because she loves it here! She is thankful for the wonderful administrator and staff, the great students, and finds it fun to teach. She has been married for 46 years to her husband, Larry, who is a local pastor and semi-retired truck driver. They have two daughters and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Phyllis Gibson ~

She is one of our veteran teachers, having taught 47 years. She started teaching at CCA in 2007. She is a Math and Science teacher. She is thankful that she is free to share God's Word at school. Mrs. Gibson loves the perks of teaching at CCA, such as not having as many government rules to follow, smaller classes, and being able to get to know the students better. She has one daughter, Michele, who is married to David. She has one grandchild, Autumn, who is a graduate of LSU.

Mrs. Jasmine Nicholson ~

She has been teaching here at CCA for 3 years as a high school English and History teacher. She is thankful that CCA has always been open and welcoming. Since she came here, she has started to view the staff, parents, and students as a second family. Mrs. Jasmine shares that she loves knowing that her fellow teachers really care about her and that everyone loves and supports each other. She is married to her husband, Travis, who is an English professor at UAM. They have one fur-baby named Matilda.

Brother Nick Bumgardner, High School Bible Teacher

This is his first year to teach in a school setting, but he has had no shortage of experience with teaching. He is a local pastor and has been active in the ministry for over 18 years. He has pastored in Nebraska, Mississippi, Louisiana, Idaho, Kansas, and Arkansas. He has a passion for sharing God's word and is thankful to be able to do so on a daily basis to the 10th-12th graders here at CCA. He also coached the elementary basketball teams this year. His whole family joined CCA this year. His wife of almost 16 years is one of the elementary pull-out teachers and school librarian. They have 4 children- Mistic (9th), Faith (6th), Aspen (6th), and Isaiah (3rd). It is a true answer to their prayers to all be at CCA.

Mrs. Linda Montgomery ~

Meet Mrs. Linda Montgomery. She has been a Math and Science teacher at CCA for 15 years! She is a teacher with 40 years of experience. Mrs. Linda is impressed and encouraged by the Christian values that are lived and taught at CCA. She claims the students and faculty are the best! She is thankful for her Christian family at CCA. She has 3 beautiful daughters and 9 wonderful grandchildren.

Mrs. Maddison Tyson

Firmly believing that the school is here to not only give students an education, but also to share the love of Christ is the primary reason why Mrs. Maddison is at CCA. She shares that "while we know we are sinners, we strive to be Christ like and a witness to others." She believes that God has called her to CCA for a reason and is constantly reminded. She is also another one of our graduates who came back to CCA. She is thankful for the Godly environment and for her students. She has been teaching English and Spanish at CCA for two years. She is also the high school girls' basketball coach. She is married to husband, L.R., and they have a three month old daughter, Evelynn Rae

Coach Clark Butler ~

He has been teaching four years, but three of those have been at CCA. He actually attended CCA during his 8th and 9th grade years. He is the head boys' basketball/baseball coach and teaches Science. He is from Arlington, Texas, but is a Southeast Arkansas native. He knows without a doubt that the Lord has led him here. The Lord has used so many of the people at CCA to pour into his life, including the students. He is thankful to learn more about the Lord and to grow in his relationship with Him. He is engaged to be married this summer.
